Mica Graves, MA has over fifteen years of experience working in the field of equine facilitated learning and therapy. She holds a masters in counseling and is a NARHA Advanced therapeutic riding instructor. Mica identifies and incorporates aspects of Gestalt therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, and Centered Riding best suited to allow each individual to move towards greater health and wholeness.

Calyn Acebes, MA, LPC is a child, adolescent and adult equine-assisted psychotherapist in private practice in Boulder, Colorado. She is the clinical supervisor for Medicine Horse Program and helps teach graduate level courses on equine-assisted psychotherapy.
She earned her counseling degree at Naropa University, and completed her certification in Gestalt Therapy through the Gestalt Institute of the Rockies. Calyn specializes in grief, trauma, addiction and attachment.

People often get bogged down in the use of words, but horses require us to speak with our bodies, hearts, and minds. They give us clear, tangible responses to the way we present ourselves in the world, thereby helping us identify and build on effective relationship skills.
In this workshop we will focus on what horses can teach humans about leadership. No horse experience is necessary. All activities will be on the ground.
We will meet in our warm, sunny arena in Erie and will work with a fabulous herd of horses ranging from athletic show horses to furry ponies.
Nourishing, home-cooked lunch and snacks provided.
